WILD WEST TO MIDWEST
Owner Travis Goff grew up in the restaurant industry. His mom owned a cafe and his uncle owned a bar & grill in a small Montana town. Travis then met his wife, Alyssa, working at a bar & grill in Laramie, Wyoming. He was a bartender and she was a server, and they hit it off immediately.
After the two graduated from the University of Wyoming, they moved to Peoria in 2000. She became a teacher and he went into sales and customer service.
In 2008, Travis got back into the business a bit, moonlighting at a new pub in Peoria Heights called Sullivan’s Pub. Mike Sullivan (Sully) gave him the opportunity to work weekend nights behind the bar. He then sold it in 2010 and the new owners renamed the establishment The Publik House.
THEN AND NOW
Two years later, Travis and his wife offered to buy it. The offer was accepted in October 2012 and the rest is history.
While much of the space's beauty and charm remains, the Goffs updated the menu to more pub-driven food, made fresh daily with the best ingredients available and the highest priority on customer service by a talented staff.
